Podiatric Pathway: Early Assurance Program

Podiatric Pathway Program at ÂÜÀòÉç

ÂÜÀòÉç College of Podiatric Medicine (KSUCPM), in partnership with the ÂÜÀòÉç College of Arts and Sciences, offers the Podiatric Pathway, a 2 + 2 + 4 program designed for undergraduate students committed to becoming Doctors of Podiatric Medicine (DPM). This pathway is ideal for students interested in specialties such as surgery, sports medicine, diabetic care, or biomechanics.

Students enrolled in any degree-granting program at ÂÜÀòÉç are eligible to apply. The program provides:

  • A strong foundation in natural and social sciences.
  • Opportunities to shadow podiatric physicians and gain insight into the daily life of foot and ankle specialists.

Early Assurance Admission

Acceptance into the Podiatric Pathway offers provisional admission to the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine program at KSUCPM. Admission is contingent upon meeting academic criteria (competitive GPA and MCAT scores) and maintaining professional conduct.

Students can secure early assurance by applying as early as their junior year, between August and June 30, and designate their intended start term for the DPM program. This eliminates the need for multiple applications - students simply update their existing AACPMAS application when courses are completed.

To apply, students must:

  • Be enrolled at ÂÜÀòÉç in a degree-granting program for at least one academic year.

  • Have completed a minimum of 59 credit hours at the time of application.
