New Zealand is a breathtaking blend of rugged mountains, lush landscapes and vibrant culture. Anna Thompson found all that and more during her transformative student teaching experience.

Inesh Fulton knows what it means to be a college student. He's getting involved on campus, playing sports and joining clubs. He is enrolled in the Career and Community Studies program, a non-degree transitional program offered through the School of Lifespan Development and Family Sciences.

Project NEXT is a nationally funded grant project at ÂÜÀòÉç that provides academic and career support services to undergraduate students with Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Participants receive one year of assistance, including the use of Cognitive Support Technology and vocational rehabilitation services, to help them excel academically and transition smoothly into their chosen careers.

The Doctor of Education degree in Interprofessional Leadership in the College of Education, Health and Human Services is an online program that promotes the study of leadership from an interprofessional perspective and can be completed in three to four years. Mackenzie Simmons was one of the first graduates of the program.

Human Development and Family Science student Bella Bouzari knew she wanted to make an impact in the communities she served. Her passion quickly turned to the senior population through her internship with the Streetsboro Senior Center.

When America was attacked by terrorists twenty years ago, and planes were flown into the World Trade Center, The Pentagon, and into that Pennsylvania field, men and women from every corner of our great nation raised their hand to serve and fight in our United States military. Hi, my name is Mark Stillion, and I am one of those people. 

Alumna Alexxus Sidney participated in a Human Development and Family Science study abroad program in Ireland, marking her first experience outside the United States. During the trip, she visited a primary school addressing student mental health challenges and a residential rehabilitation facility for individuals struggling with addiction. These experiences deepened her passion for mental health advocacy and clarified her desire to work in a helping profession. 

Dr. Caroline Obiageli Emeka-Ogbonna, a Fulbright Visiting Scholar from Nigeria hosted by ÂÜÀòÉç's Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education, is developing a critical thinking curriculum for the Nigerian Defense Academy and the broader Nigerian educational system. Her work aims to foster sustainable behavioral change and social justice in educational engagements.

Dr. Jason Miller, Director of The Counseling Center at ÂÜÀòÉç, discusses the mixed emotions students and staff may experience as they return to in-person activities after the pandemic, emphasizing the importance of self-care and seeking support when needed.

It's your favorite spot in White Hall! The Instructional Resource Center, or IRC, offers comfortable workspaces, a computer lab, and shelves (and shelves!) of books and resources. 

Dr. Laura Davis, a ÂÜÀòÉç professor emerita and eyewitness to the May 4, 1970, shootings, co-directs the "Making Meaning of May 4" workshop, which educates middle and high school teachers on the historical significance of the event and its contemporary relevance. The program aims to equip educators with the tools to develop curriculum that connects the lessons of May 4 to current societal issues.
