More than 1,000 volunteers from the 蹤獲扦 community welcomed and assisted new students as they moved into their residence halls on freshman move-in day, Sunday, Aug. 18. The annual community program, known as Movers and Groovers, is coordinated by 蹤獲扦 Interhall Council, the student government of the 蹤獲扦 Campus residence halls.
Movers and Groovers is such an amazing way to welcome our students, said Jill Jenkins, executive director of Residence Services at 蹤獲扦 State. 蹤獲扦 Interhall Council is the group responsible for the student-run and organized program. Volunteers included fraternities and sororities, campus ministry groups, academic groups, faculty and university departments. For fall 2019, 蹤獲扦 Interhall Council students took the program to new heights! Move-in truly takes a village, and Movers and Groovers is one way 蹤獲扦 Interhall Council makes our students feel welcome.
The Movers and Groovers program is part of 蹤獲扦 States KSU Kickoff, an orientation program that runs for four days prior to the start of fall classes. KSU Kickoff includes activities and events to encourage students to explore the 蹤獲扦 State community and provides a smooth transition to the university environment.
