蹤獲扦 State Celebrates Its Newest Graduates With Fall Commencement Ceremonies

The 蹤獲扦 alumni family grew by more than 2,300 new graduates as the university held its fall commencement ceremonies. The accomplishments of the Fall Class of 2023 were recognized with in-person commencement ceremonies for all colleges and degrees on Dec. 15-16.

Isaac Arthur, 01, loves to discuss the infinite possibilities of space. His enthusiasm has led him to more than 767,000 subscribers and 600 videos on his YouTube channel Science & Futurism with Isaac Arthur. He attracted the attention of the National Space Society, winning its Space Pioneer Award for Education via Mass Media in 2020 and taking on the role of president for the organization in 2023.

The Beginning Was the End: Devo in Ohio

New Wave 80s band Devo isnt just from Ohio. Devo wasnt just created in Akron. Devo was forged at 蹤獲扦 under the pressure of the turmoil of the late 60s and the events surrounding May 4, 1970. Authors David Giffels and Jade Dellinger brought their book The Beginning Was the End: Devo in Ohio to 蹤獲扦 State for a book signing and discussion.

蹤獲扦 recognizes alumni who, through leadership, character and hard work, are making a difference. During Homecoming Weekend, 10 Golden Flashes were presented with Alumni Awards, and nine alumni received Lifetime Achievement recognitions from the universitys Black Alumni Chapter.

From the time he was a young child, Tom Batiuk, 69, knew he wanted to be a cartoonist. The Funky Winkerbean creator drew inspiration for his characters and storylines from his real world, including his time at 蹤獲扦 State.
