Honors College Alumna Speaks Up for Those with No Voice
Honors College alumna Maya Huffman, a native of Toledo, graduated a semester early from 蹤獲扦 State in December 2022, as a double major in psychology and political science with a minor in pre-law. New Wave 80s band Devo isnt just from Ohio. Devo wasnt just created in Akron. Devo was forged at 蹤獲扦 under the pressure of the turmoil of the late 60s and the events surrounding May 4, 1970. Authors David Giffels and Jade Dellinger brought their book The Beginning Was the End: Devo in Ohio to 蹤獲扦 State for a book signing and discussion.

蹤獲扦 recognizes alumni who, through leadership, character and hard work, are making a difference. During Homecoming Weekend, 10 Golden Flashes were presented with Alumni Awards, and nine alumni received Lifetime Achievement recognitions from the universitys Black Alumni Chapter.
