Melissa Harris-Perry Serves as Keynote Speaker at 蹤獲扦 States Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration
On Friday, Jan. 24, members of the 蹤獲扦 community and the general public gathered to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. The universitys annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration started at 4 p.m. in the 蹤獲扦 Student Center Ballroom. This years keynote speaker was Melissa Harris-Perry, Ph.D., the Maya Angelou Presidential Chair at Wake Forest University, television host, author and political commentator.

蹤獲扦 held its annual Veterans Day Commemoration on Thursday, Nov. 7, in the 蹤獲扦 Student Center Kiva. This years guest speaker was Lt. Col. Colleen VanNatta. A graduate of 蹤獲扦 States Air Force ROTC detachment, VanNatta served as a media escort for joint information bureaus in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, during Operation Desert Storm.

College Students to Compete in SkyHack Design Challenge at 蹤獲扦 State
蹤獲扦s aviation design challenge, SkyHack, will take place Nov. 1-3. The event draws college students from around the nation, attracting 120 students from 14 universities in four states in its 2017 inaugural debut. 蹤獲扦 States College of Aeronautics and Engineering will serve as home base for this years event, which will span across other 蹤獲扦 Campus buildings.
