Booming Accounting Job Market Attracts High School Students To 蹤獲扦 State Case Competition

Area high school students learned about the benefits of a career in accounting while participating in the 蹤獲扦 High School Accounting Case Challenge.

Hosted by the 蹤獲扦 State Department of Accounting, the event brought together 85 students from 蹤獲扦 Theodore Roosevelt High School, North Canton Hoover High School, Aurora High School and Tallmadge High School. The competition was sponsored by The Ohio Society of CPAs, Pease Bell CPAs, Robert Fay, Ernst & Young, Novogradac and RSM.

Jason Werstler, a 2001 蹤獲扦 graduate who majored in education, is one of 25 teachers across the nation who were recently recognized for teaching excellence. He teaches construction at Massillon Washington High School in Massillon, Ohio.

Student Media Experience Leads to Dream Job for 蹤獲扦 State Journalism Graduate

While completing a two-month journalism fellowship in Arizona the summer after her college graduation, Anna Huntsman, 19, found herself nostalgic for Ohio.

I was around a lot of people from all across the country, she remembers. They would ask me, Whats so special about Ohio? and I would have this answer about the camaraderie, the sports, the work ethic. I just found myself having these answers of really missing my home.
