MEDIA ADVISORY: 蹤獲扦 State Remembers May 4, 1970, With 54th Commemoration

蹤獲扦 will hold its 54th annual commemoration honoring the memory of May 4, 1970, a tragic day when the Ohio National Guard fired on 蹤獲扦 State students during an anti-war protest on campus, killing four students, wounding nine others and sparking a turning point in American history.

Peace Upon the Earth, Episode 3 of Legacy: May 4 Podcast

The School of Peace and Conflict Studies originated at 蹤獲扦 State as a response to May 4. Today its central in 蹤獲扦 States global presence. We travel to Rwanda, where 蹤獲扦 State convened a global peace education conference and, through the Kigali Summer Institute, immerses students in peace-building centered on reconciliation, in a place that experienced the unimaginable 1994 genocide.

Lewis, Ph.D., will feature Professor of Geography Chris Post, Ph.D., presenting Developing and Interpreting the Wounded Student Markers at 蹤獲扦 State as this years selected speaker. The Jerry M. Lewis May 4 Lecture Series and Luncheon will be held on May 3.
