Following in the footsteps of naturalist Charles Darwin, 蹤獲扦 State students got to experience things they have studied in their classes live and up close on an education-abroad trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.
With faculty from 蹤獲扦 States Department of Biological Sciences students traveled to the edge of the world this summer to hike on volcanoes, walk through lava tunnels, snorkel with sea lions, see exotic birds and stroll, somewhat slowly, with giant tortoises.
Destinations included Quito, San Cristobol Island, Santa Cruz and Isabela. While visiting the islands and their research centers, the students learned about evolution, biodiversity and conservation.
