Students, faculty, staff and members of the 蹤獲扦 community came to campus on April 8 to experience a spectacle that for most is a once-in-a-lifetime event: a total solar eclipse over 蹤獲扦. There were activities and scheduled events across campus to celebrate this rare occurrence in the skies over Northeast Ohio.
People gathered on the Student Green, Risman Plaza, Manchester Field and the Commons with blankets, snacks, cameras and 蹤獲扦 State eclipse glasses. After the eclipse began around 2 p.m., spectators looked to the skies to see larger and larger bites being taken out of the sun. As the totality approached, shortly after 3 p.m., gasps and cheers came from the crowds as the full majesty of the celestial event came into view.
The mood across campus was celebratory and happy as the 蹤獲扦 State community came together to share an unforgettable experience.
