Student Completes Senior Honors Thesis Combining Fashion And Finance Majors

Gabriella Humes is a senior Honors College student graduating with a double-major in fashion merchandising and finance. Gabriella has been very successful at 蹤獲扦 State, completing an internship and three study away programs. However, one of Gabriellas proudest accomplishments is recently completing a Senior Honors Thesis that combined both of her majors into one project.

蹤獲扦 Museum Announces Reopening and Newest Exhibition 'Stitched: Regional Dress Across Europe'

The 蹤獲扦 Museum has reopened to the public and is excited to announce its newest exhibition, Stitched: Regional Dress Across Europe, on display from February 2021 through December 2021. The exhibition features 75 pieces exclusive to the museums permanent collection, showcasing common features shared by regional costume across Western and Eastern Europe.

Almost 50 years ago, the shootings of 蹤獲扦 students by the Ohio National Guard brought to a head the cultural divides that had split the nation. The 蹤獲扦 Museums exhibition, Culture/Counterculture: Fashions of the 1960s and 70s, opening Sept. 20, explores the sharp contrast between supporters of the establishment and those opposed.

'Wearing Justice' Exhibition at 蹤獲扦 Museum Brings Attention to Global Social Issues

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of May 4, 1970, when Ohio National Guardsmen opened fire on 蹤獲扦 students protesting the U.S. invasion of Cambodia during the Vietnam War, killing four and wounding nine, students and faculty from 蹤獲扦 States School of Fashion Design and Merchandising are bringing attention to current social issues in the new exhibition called Wearing Justice: Perspectives From KSU Fashion School Faculty and Students that is on display now at the 蹤獲扦 Museum.
