Fashions of Southern Africa is curated by Sara Hume, Ph.D., and runs August 26, 2016 - July 2, 2017 in the museums Higbee Gallery. The museum will also host a free preview reception from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 25.
蹤獲扦 State Museum Hosts "Millie" Preview, Flapper Lecture
The 蹤獲扦 Museum and School of Theatre and Dance are teaming up to present a unique event celebrating the perennial glamor and allure of the 1920s. This special program on Feb. 17 is presented in conjunction with the museums Flapper Style: 1920s Fashion exhibit and 蹤獲扦 States production of Thoroughly Modern Millie. The event will include a short preview of Thoroughly Modern Millie by members of the cast, followed by a talk by Flapper Style curator Sara Hume, Ph.D.
蹤獲扦 State Museum's "Flapper Style" to Highlight 1920s Fashion
The 蹤獲扦 Museum will present its new exhibit Flapper Style: Fashions of the 1920s in the museums Broadbent Gallery from Sept. 25, 2015, to Sept. 4, 2016. The museum will also host a special preview reception, featuring drinks and refreshments, on Thursday, Sept. 24. Admission to the reception is $15; to RSVP, please call 330-672-0300.
